You're reading: Agrarian Fund of Ukraine obtains almost Hr 500 million for wheat sold on exchange

The Agrarian Fund of Ukraine has said that the fund has obtained almost UAH 500 million to its accounts, which were earned from the sale of wheat on an exchange on January 22, 2013.

“Almost UAH 500 million was sent to the accounts of the Agrarian Fund, according to exchange contracts for the sale of grain,” reads a report of the fund on its official Web site.

The fund said that grain is being delivered to the buyers.

As reported, the Agrarian Fund of Ukraine at a trading session on January 22, 2013 conducted on the Agrarian Exchange sold almost 225,300 tonnes of grain worth over UAH 492 million.

The Agrarian Fund put 300,000 tonnes of bread wheat up for sale at a starting price of UAH 2,300 per tonne for first class wheat, UAH 2,250 per tonne for second-class wheat and UAH 2,150 per tonne for third class wheat.

Earlier, the Agrarian Fund said it expected that it would receive UAH 690 million from the sale of the said volume of wheat.
