The debt for VAT reimbursements in Ukraine currently stands at Hr 2 billion, Ukrainian Prime Minister Mykola Azarov has said.

"It is around Hr 1.5 billion – Hr 2 billion," he said at a press conference in Kyiv on Tuesday when asked about the level of the debt.

As reported, Ukraine’s authorities took a liability as a part of cooperation with the International Monetary Fund to cut the overdue debt on VAT reimbursement to Hr 2.9 billion by Oct. 1 and to pay off the debt by the end of the year.
