Ukrainian Cabinet of Ministers has allocated Hr 50 million from the state reserve fund to buy medicine for hemophiliacs, Emergencies Minister Viktor Baloha has said.

"Today the Cabinet of Ministers decided to allocate funds to buy medicine for hemophiliacs from the state reserve fund… Fifty million [hryvnias] has been allocated," he told journalists after the government meeting.

Moreover, the minister said that on Tuesday he had held talks with the Austrian producer of this medicine and on Monday, Aug. 22, an agreement on its delivery to Ukraine would be signed.

"I hope that to the end of the next week medicine will be in the country," Baloha said.

Baloha was charged with contacting the producer of medicine for hemophiliacs and ensuring its delivery to Ukraine, Ukrainian Premier Mykola Azarov said during the government meeting on Wednesday.
