Bank Kyiv (Kyiv), which came under the management of the government in the summer of 2009, needs an additional capitalization of UAH 1.5 billion, Bank Kyiv Board Chairman Yuriy Maslov has reported.

“The bank is currently forming additional reserves. And we think
that the bank needs additional capitalization. We think that the sum is
approximately UAH 1.5 billion,” he said at a press conference at
Interfax-Ukraine.

According to Maslov, a proposal by the bank board will be agreed
with the bank supervisory council, which is to make final decision on
submitting a corresponding application to the Finance Ministry.
