You're reading: Cospp.com : Ukrainian electricity production up 3.7% in January-July

Electricity production in Ukraine's integrated power system (IPS) grew 3.7% year-on-year to 116.004 billion kWh in the first seven months of 2012, reads Cogenearion & On-Site Power Production report. 

Nuclear power plants (NPP) increased electricity production by 1.9% to 52.071 billion kWh, and thermal power plants (TPP) and combined heat-and-power plants (CHPP) controlled by the ministry increased production by 7.3% to 52.026 billion kWh, with the TPP of generating companies increasing output by 9.3% to 46.051 billion kWh.

Municipal CHPP and isolated generating plants reduced output by 3.5% to 4.706 billion kWh, and hydropower plants (HPP) decreased production by 7.2% to 6.866 billion kWh.
