The government has improved the state regulation of prices of medicine and medical goods that are sold in pharmacy retail chains, the press service of the government has reported.
The press service said that the decision was made by the cabinet on August 13, 2012.
At present, the list of medicine, which prices will be regulated by
the state, is being expanded. The Health Ministry said that 55 medicines
were added, and the list consists of 270 positions.
The upper markup for the said medicine are set no higher than 12% of
the wholesale price and for the retail price – up to 25% of the purchase
price.
The minimum range of medicine for pharmacies is defined by the Health Ministry.
