Kyiv, December 3 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The board of joint-stock company Kyivstar has decided to close its Kharkiv, Dnipropetrovsk and Crimea branches due to the reorganization of its regional structure, the company said in a report in the information disclosure system of the National Commission for Securities and the Stock Market of Ukraine on December 2.

The Kharkiv branch was responsible for the building and technical servicing of the operator’s networks, the provision of communications services on behalf of the company and representing its interest on the territory of Kharkiv, Poltava and Sumy regions. The Dnipropetrovsk branch was responsible for the same functions in Dnipropetrovsk, Zaporizhia, Luhansk, Donetsk and Kirovohrad regions, while the Crimea branch covered the territory of Crimea and Sevastopol.

According to the reorganization plans, the functions of the Kharkiv branch were transferred to the Kyiv branch, those of the Crimea branch to the Odesa branch, while the functions of the Dnipropetrovsk branch are divided between the Odesa and Kyiv branches.

“The decisions to close the branches were made due to the introduction of a new operation model and the reorganization of the regional structure,” the company said.

Kyivstar previously had six branches – Kyiv, Lviv, Dnipropetrovsk, Kharkiv, Odesa and Crimea.
