The Ukrainian partners, who did not believe until the last moment that Gazprom will begin building the gas pipeline South Stream in the announced period of time, have give high marks to the work done by the Russian company to launch the project, Gazprom CEO Alexei Miller told reporters.

“They said they are taking off their hat to us. We responded by saying that patience and hard work conquer all,” Miller said.

Miller said Ukrainian partners did not believe until the last moment
that Gazprom would be able to launch the construction in the announced
period of time (in December 2012).
