The top managers of Rozetka.ua Ltd. (Kyiv) and the State Tax Service of Ukraine are in talks on the releasing of company's heads from criminal liability after the compensation of damage caused to the state.
The State Tax Service told Interfax-Ukraine that the case could be closed when the state receives full payment of the damages.
The tax service accuses the owners of Rozetka.ua Ltd. of avoiding paying taxes worth over Hr7 million.
The press service of the State Tax Service reported that in April 2012 after checks, a criminal case under part three of Article 212 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine against director of Rozetka.ua Ltd. was opened.
According to the service, businessmen imported goods from abroad at reduced prices. This allowed them to obtain super profits that were hidden via fake firms.
After the deals, the national budget was short of over Hr7 million.
The tax service denied information that the owner of the company has been detained. The report originated in a social network.
