The parliamentary committee for tax and customs policy at present has prepared 12 out 17 sections of the draft Tax Code for second reading, the committee head, Vitaliy Khomutynnik, has said.
"Today 12 sections [of the draft Tax Code] are ready to be submitted for discussion to the legal department and to Ukrainian lawmakers for analysis," he said at a committee meeting on Wednesday.
He said that the rest of largest sections, in particular, on tax administration, the tax on profit, VAT, special taxation regimes and transitive periods of the code are about 80% ready.
"It would be good… to hold several meetings over a week and by next Wednesday to complete the preparation of the draft Tax Code for second reading in the committee and submit it for consideration by lawmakers," he said.
He added that the parliament would start discussing the draft Tax Code from November 16.
