The Communist Party parliamentary faction will not vote for the bill on the national budget for 2013, the Communist Party of Ukraine (CPU) Leader Petro Symonenko has said.

“The CPU faction states that our party will not vote for a budget that actually cancels all social benefits for poor people. We won’t vote for a social default budget,” he said at the morning sitting of parliament on Tuesday.

Symonenko added that a social and economic development program for 2013 should be adopted before considering the draft national budget for the next year. The program should be based on the country’s internal resources, “and not drive the country and its people into debt to international financial speculators.”
