You're reading: Ukraine oil refining falls to 6.173 million tons Jan-Sept

KYIV, Oct 13 – Ukraine refined 6.173 million tons of crude oil in the first nine months of the year, down from 9.057 million tons in the same period a year ago, the State Statistics Committee said on Friday.

The committee also said the refineries processed 937,500 tons of crude in September, up from 843,300 tons in August.

Gasoline output fell to 1.398 million tons in January to September compared to 2.062 million tons in the same period of 1999.

Diesel output dropped to 1.802 million tons in the first nine months of the year compared to 2.682 million tons over the same period a year ago.

Ukraine’s six oil refineries have a total capacity of 52 million tons per year but they have not worked at full capacity since independence in 1991.
