Ukrainian cheese factories, which have been inspected by Russia, are still not allowed to supply their products to the Russian market, despite the official permission of the Russian consumer rights watchdog Rospotrebnadzor, the director of the department of veterinary medicine at the State Veterinary and Phytosanitary Service of Ukraine, Vitaliy Bashynsky, has said.

"We have heard the statements that the exports of the products of the three inspected plants to the Russian Federation have been permitted, but there have been no shipments at the border so far… No official permission has been received on the border yet. Russia does not let them in [the products]," he told journalists in Kyiv on April 25.

According to Bashynsky, under the agreements with Rospotrebnadzor, Ukrainian cheese producers are going to sign a memorandum on the compliance with the requirements of the Russian inspectors.

After it is signed, the memorandum will be sent to Rospotrebnadzor, he added.
