You're reading: Ukrhydroenergo sees net profit up 50.6% in 2012

PJSC Ukrhydroenergo (Vyshgorod, Kyiv region) in the first quarter of 2012 saw its net profit rise by 50.62% year-over-year, to Hr 162.209 million, the company has said.

Its net income in the period was up by 29.6%, to Hr 424.771 million and gross profit grew by 55.92%, to Hr 165.058 million.

Ukrhydroenergo operates all large hydroelectric power plants on the Ukrainian stretches of the Dnipro and Dniester rivers. Their total capacity is 5,007.6 megawatts.

The company is 100% owned by Energy Company of Ukraine, which in turn belongs to the government.
