You're reading: Ukrnafta to put 167,500 tonnes of oil at auction on Dec 21

Public joint-stock company Ukrnafta will put up 167,490 tonnes of crude oil at an auction on the Ukrainian Interbank Currency Exchange (Kyiv) on Dec. 21, the auction bulletin has said.

According to the bulletin posted on the Web site of the exchange, six more companies will put 13,140 tonnes of oil at an auction.

The starting oil price is Hr 7,192 per tonne (with VAT), which is 0.48% up on the price at the November auction. Crude oil is to be shipped by pipelines.

In addition, Ukrnafta will put 200 tonnes of gas condensate at the auction on Dec. 21. Chornomornaftogaz will put 6,500 tonnes of gas condensate. The starting fuel price is Hr 7,479 per tonne (with VAT).

The auction will be held under a new procedure approved by cabinet resolution No. 1064 of Oct. 3, 2011.

On Nov. 22, 2011 Ukrnafta sold 168,250 tonnes of Ukrainian-made oil at the average price of Hr 7,158 per tonne, which is 2.4% down on the average price of oil offered at the previous auction on Oct. 25, 2011.

Ukrnafta is Ukraine’s leading oil production enterprise. National joint-stock company Naftogaz Ukrainy owns 50% plus on share in Ukrnafta.

A group of companies connected to the shareholders in Dnipropetrovsk-based PrivatBank hold around 42% in the company.
