You're reading: Modern Sculpture Fest

Kyiv is being invaded by all things arty.

On top of ongoing modern art exhibitions, a total of 15 modern sculptures from Europe, Ukraine, Russia, Australia and Philippines went on display in the botanical garden in Pechersk within the framework of the first international festival of contemporary sculpture in Kyiv.

The festival’s jury picked these sculptures out of almost 300 candidates applying to display their works. The best sculpture will be picked out on June 30, and its author will receive 6,000 euros in cash.

There is also a non-competition part of the festival too, exhibiting works of famous sculptures from Poland, Spain, Britain and China for the first time in Ukraine.
