Poland will be the guest of honor at the 20th Publishers Forum in Lviv due on September 10-15, the president of the forum, Oleksandra Koval, has said.

"We are happy that this year Poland will be our guest of honor," she said at a press conference in Kyiv on Tuesday.

In turn, representative of the Polish Institute (Kyiv) Olha Klymenko noted that Poland every year presents a stand at the Publishers Forum.

“We are happy with this opportunity to widely present Polish culture at the 20th Publishers Forum in Lviv. The program consists of more than 50 events, and the delegation includes 48 guests,” she said.

According to Klymenko, Poland will also screen its films at the forum. Polish film director Krzysztof Zanussi is to attend the events.

A fair of Ukrainian books will work as part of the Publishers Forum on September 12-15.

According to Koval, more than 350 writers from 20 countries are expected to visit the forum in Lviv.
