KLAIPEDA, Lithuania (AP) — Ukraine avoided early elimination from the European basketball championship with a 67-56 victory over Bulgaria on Saturday.

The win means both Ukraine and Bulgaria have one victory and two losses in Group D with two games left in the preliminary round.

Ukraine used its powerful front line to wear down Bulgaria, which shot just 28 percent from the field.

Guard Oleksandr Kolchenko led Ukraine with 18 points, while twins Danylo and Kyrylo Ivanov combined for 18 of Bulgaria’s 56 points.
