Ukrainian Prime Minister Mykola Azarov has said he hopes for the assistance of the European Union in the process of signing the Ukraine-EU Association Agreement.

“We hope that the EU member states and their diplomatic missions in Ukraine will provide the necessary assistance in the signature of this global document,” the premier said at a meeting with German Ambassador to Ukraine Christof Weil, according to the press service of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine.

Azarov said European integration remains a priority of the government.

He also expressed hope that after the parliamentary elections in Ukraine, the sides would intensify their work on the signing of the strategic document, which includes the provisions on the creation of a free trade area.
