With the elections just a little more than five weeks away, the parties and candidates, have spent hundreds of thousands of dollars officially.

The Central Election Commission (CEC) has registered 10 more international observers for the upcoming parliamentary elections in Ukraine.

At a sitting on October 6, the CEC registered six observers from Spain, one from Lithuania, two from Azerbaijan, and one observer from the international non-governmental organization CANADEM.

So far, the CEC has registered a total of 972 official international observers representing 20 organizations and nine countries.

The parliamentary elections in Ukraine are due on October 28, 2012.
