Simferopol - A rally has been held in Simferopol to support the Ukrainian president's decision to sign the law on state language policy fundamentals. 

About 400 people held the rally on the central square on Wednesday.

The Crimean republican organization of the Party of Regions organized the rally under party flags and signs, "The Crimeans Welcome the Language Law," "Viktor Fedorovych, Thank You for the Russian Language," "The Language Law Implements Rights of the Crimeans" and "We Want to Speak Russian."

Crimean Parliament Speaker, deputy head of the Party of Regions' Crimean organization Volodymyr Konstantynov addressed the rally. He said the day when the Ukrainian president signed the language law was remarkable for the Crimea.
