Ukrainian President will spend his royalties on charity, the presidential press service has reported.
"This year, I'll spend the funds that I received from the publication of some of my books only on assistance to poor people, those who are sick and, first and foremost, children," Yanukovych told reporters after participating in an Easter service at the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra monastery on Sunday. Apr. 15.

The declaration of Yanukovych's income and expenditures for 2011 was earlier published on the official Web site of the head of state. According to the document, in 2011, the Novyy Mir (New World) Printing House paid UAH 16.4 million in royalties to Yanukovych for the transfer of the property rights for the books he wrote in 2005-2010 to the publishing house. From the amount of royalties, Yanukovych paid UAH 2.8 million to the budget as personal income tax.
