Parliament's Yulia Tymoshenko-Batkivshchyna faction in parliament on Oct. 18 unanimously voted to expel Oleh Lyashko and Serhiy Osyka "for cooperating with the the majority coalition, including voting in favor of amendments to the Constitution, endorsing the Law on the Cabinet and new parliamentary procedures."

Faction members also agreed not to vote for the Law on Languages in Ukraine proposed by the pro-presidential majority.

Lyashko, first elected to parliament in 2006 on the Tymoshenko ticket, made headlines last week when a 17-year old video was posted to YouTube in which he talked about sexual relations with another man.

The Ukrainian-language press release about the expulsion is here.
