Moscow - Danish inspectors will make a monitoring flight over Russia and Belarus aboard a Ukrainian Antonov An-30B observation jet on August 13-17 under the Open Skies Treaty, the Russian Defense Ministry reports.

"The flight route has been coordinated with Russian and Belarusian specialists, who will board the plane to control the use of observation instruments," says the report received by Interfax-AVN on Monday.

The flight will start from the Kubinka airfield and have the maximum distance of 5,500 kilometers.

The Ukrainian jet An-30B is not capable of carrying weapons. Its cameras have been certified internationally with the assistance of Russian and Belarusian experts, which rules out the use of devices not allowed by the Open Skies Treaty.
