You're reading: Leaders of Georgian, Russian delegations to PACE agree to hold informal talks

Tbilisi - The leaders of the Georgian and Russian parliamentary delegations to the current session of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe have agreed to hold unofficial talks on Thursday. 

“We have met with Alexei Pushkov in Strasbourg today and agreed to hold an informal meeting to discuss ways to improve Georgian-Russian relations,” Georgian delegation leader Tedo Dzhaparidze told Georgian reporters in Strasbourg.

Pushkov has confirmed to the press that an agreement was reached with Dzhaparidze to hold informal talks and that the Georgian and Russian parliamentary delegations could meet in Strasbourg in April for expanded talks.
