Vilnius - Lithuania's State Border Protection Service has launched a pre-trial investigation into the crossing of the Belarusian border by a Swedish airplane that dropped teddy bears over Minsk, the Lithuanian Prosecutor General's Service reports.
On August 8, Belarus asked Lithuania and Sweden for legal assistance in probing a suspected violation of its border. Formal requests were forwarded via the Belarusian Prosecutor General’s Office, Alexander Antonovich, chief of the State Security Committee’s Information and Press Department, told reporters.
