Moscow - The Russian government has approved a draft CIS agreement on cooperation in providing information security.

A document to that effect was posted in the databank of government acts.

Under the draft agreement, the parties are planning to cooperate in devising international information security standards, creating protected information systems, perfecting the technologies protecting information systems and resources against potential and real threats, detecting and neutralizing hardware and software dangerous for the functioning of information systems, and measures aimed at preventing unauthorized access to information.
