A CIS summit due in Minsk on October 25 will consider documents on cooperation in the fight against terrorism and crime and the prevention and response to emergency situations.

“The councils of foreign ministers and chiefs of state are expected
to convene in the Belarusian capital city in the end of October. They
will consider documents on cooperation in the fight against terrorism,
crime, drug trafficking, human trafficking, cyber-crime and corruption,
as well as in culture, tourism and the prevention and response to
emergency situations,” a source in the Minsk-based CIS Executive
Committee told Interfax.

The Minsk summit will name the state to chair the CIS in 2014, the source said.

Permanent representatives of CIS member states will meet in Minsk on
June 11 to discuss proposals with regard to the agendas of the upcoming
meetings of the councils of foreign ministers and chiefs of state.
