Tbilisi - Former Georgian Deputy Foreign Minister Giorgi Gomiashvili could have possibly committed suicide, local media reported on Friday with reference to his relatives.

Gomiashvili’s relatives found his body in an apartment in Tbilisi where he had lived.

Criminology experts are working at the scene now, Georgian media said.

Gomiashvili served as a deputy foreign minister for several months in 2005, after which he became a businessman.
