You're reading: French delegation comes to Russia to probe plane crash

MOSCOW - A delegation from France, where the ATR 72 passenger plane that crashed near Tyumen on April 2 was manufactured, has arrived at the crash scene, the Interstate Aviation Committee (IAC), an international body authorized, in particular, to investigate air incidents in the former Soviet republics, said in a statement on its website.

"An authorized representative of France as the country in which the aircraft was developed and manufactured, has arrived at the scene of the air incident involving the ATR 72 plane belonging to UTair airline," the statement says.

The delegation includes advisors to the representative of the state and a representative of the plane’s manufacturer, it said.
