Moscow, April 26 (Interfax-AVN) - The Russian-French talks regarding the sale of the Mistral helicopter carrier attests to the trust between our countries, said Brigadier General Jean Morin, defense attache at the French Embassy in Russia.

"The current Russian-French negotiations about the Mistral are a sign of trust between our countries. We want to turn over the Cold War page," Morin said in an interview with the Ekho Moskvy radio station on Saturday.

The general emphasized in particular the situation in Afghanistan. Fighting terrorism is one of the key tasks of the international troops in Afghanistan, he said. "We cannot allow Afghanistan to turn into a propagator of international terrorism," the French military diplomat said.
