BOCHAROV RUCHEI, Sochi – Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe expects to have open discussions with Russian President Vladimir Putin on a peace treaty, economy, and other important matters.

“I would like today to have an open exchange of opinions with Vladimir [Putin] not only on such bilateral issues as politics, including the conclusion of a peace treaty, diplomacy, and economy, but also such important and multilateral ones that face us and the entire world,” Abe said at the outset of a meeting with Putin in Sochi on May 6.
