ASTANA - Kazakhstan's economy will grow 6% in 2013, the Kazakh Economy and Budget Planning Ministry told Interfax.

“Economic growth in 2013 will mainly be supported by domestic demand,
which is expected to increase 6.5% this year, as private and public
investments in industrial and infrastructure projects are on the rise,”
the ministry said.

“According to the National Bank, inflation will be within 6%-8% in 2013,” it said.

According to preliminary estimates by the State Statistics Agency, the Kazakh economy grew 5% in 2012.

In 2011, Kazakhstan’s GDP rose 7.5%.
