You're reading: Kazakhstan and Ukraine seal military cooperation plan for 2013

ASTANA - Kazakhstan hails strengthening of military cooperation with Ukraine, said Defense Minister of Kazakhstan Adilbek Dzhaksybekov.

According to a Monday press service, Dzhaksybekov held talks with Defense Minister of Ukraine Dmytro Salamatin in Astana.

“Today we can confirm the fact that the military cooperation
(Kazakhstan and Ukraine – IF-K), has strengthened and all previous
agreements fulfilled,” Dzhaksybekov was quoted as saying.

“The president of the country – the Supreme Commander of the Armed
Forces Nursultan Nazarbayev hails development of partnership and
cooperation with Ukraine in all fields, including the military,” said
Dzhaksybekov.

He noted that the full completion of the program of cooperation
between the defense ministries this year is a vivid example of
strengthening cooperation.

After the talks, the Defense Ministries signed an agreement on
cooperation in military education and a cooperation plan for 2013.
