Moscow, May 31 (Interfax) - Former Yukos CEO Mikhail Khodorkovsky and his former business partner Platon Lebedev have applied for parole.

"I ask you to consider my request for parole. The charges on which I was convicted envision such a possibility after half my prison sentence is served. I have already served more than seven years and a half of the 13 years given to me. I do not admit my guilt because I continue appealing my conviction," Khodorkovsky said in his petition, which was forwarded to Moscow’s Preobrazhensky court.

A similar document was signed by Lebedev.
