MOSCOW/BISHKEK (Interfax) - Kyrgyz President Almazbek Atambayev said the execution of the Minsk metro terrorists is Belarus' internal affair.
"It is an internal affair of Belarus. Although, those who say that only God, the life giver, can take one’s life back, are right, perhaps," Atambayev said in an interview with Interfax.
"Again, this is Belarus’ internal affair and this is the Belarusian authorities’ decision," he said.
Asked to comment on the European Union’s negative stance on the execution in Belarus, Atambayev said, "I see elements of double standards here."
"Why doesn’t the European Union react so fiercely to executions in the United States? It is an instance of double standards, isn’t it?" he said.
