You're reading: Lukashenko: attempts at “colored revolutions” will fail in Belarus

Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko said no one will be able to carry out coups and "colored revolutions" in Belarus.

“We know that external threats are now, as a rule, manifested through internal sources. However, all attempts to cause chaos in our country and carry out coups and some ‘colored revolutions’ have absolutely no prospects,” Lukashenko said at the military parade marking the Belarusian Independence Day, which was held in Minsk on Tuesday.

“We have shown to the whole world how national interests should be protected. The people of Belarus have made their choice and they have chosen true independence, supporting the policies of the state. We will preserve these achievements,” Lukashenko said.
