The gas that Ukraine imports from Russia could edge up in price in Q2 2012, Vadym Chuprun, deputy CEO of the national oil and gas company Naftogaz, told reporters.

"We very much want a decrease, but, looking at the situation, I think it’ll even rise a little compared with the first quarter of 2012," Chuprun said.

Naftogaz has changed gas price forecasts several times in Q1 and Q2 this year. Ukraine paid $416 per thousand cu m for Russian gas in Q1.
