MOSCOW - Federal Consumer Protection Service head Gennady Onishchenko forecasts a recurrence of the Ukrainian cheese situation due to the Ukrainian failure to fulfill the agreement with Russia.

"They do not fulfill the agreements. True, we inspected their plants but they were also supposed to start up a certain mechanism, our certification of their laboratories. They have not done that so far," Onishchenko told a briefing in Moscow on June 9.

"Ukraine may fall into the same trap again, this time with both feet instead of just one, which means the impact will double," he said.

Service specialists will come back from Ukraine on June 9 after having inspected the last two plants. They did not find any large violations, Onishchenko said.
