You're reading: Over 50% of Russian companies hope for good deals after APEC summit

VLADIVOSTOK, Russia - A poll of 350 Russian companies has indicated that 15% of them plan to take part in the business summit of the APEC forum due in Vladivostok on September 7-8.

The nation-wide poll was taken on August 1-14 by HeadHunter company
in the framework of its partnership with the business summit of the
forum.

Almost all (95%) regard the event as a chance to establish useful
contacts, 52% plan to sign good deals, and 47% enter the world market.
Also 37% of the companies hope to influence their professional
environment, 21% change legislation in their sector and only 5% do not
put forward any specific objectives.

In addition, 58% of the polled participants of the APEC business
summit believe that the event is capable of modifying the direction of
their company’s development, its objectives and tasks. Also 21% of the
respondents said that the summit is a key market event and its outcome
is capable of cardinally changing the company’s course of development.
