Moscow - Russian President Vladimir Putin has replaced five of the nine members of the supervisory council at state nuclear power corporation Rosatom, and tapped Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Rogozin to chair it.

An order issued September 2 removes Economic Development Minister Andrei Belousov (who had when he joined the council been head of the administration’s economy and finances department), Deputy Prime Minister Arkady Dvorkovich (formerly a presidential aide), the first deputy chief of the presidential administration Sergei Prikhodko (likewise formerly a presidential aide), and former Energy Minister Sergei Shmatko from the Rosatom supervisory council.

Rogozin takes over the council chairmanship from First Deputy Prime Minister Igor Shuvalov. Also joining the new board are Deputy Economic Development Minister Andrei Klepach, Energy Minister Alexander Novak, and presidential aides Yury Trutnev and Yury Ushakov.

Retaining their seats on the council are the chief of staff of the military-industrial commission under the government executive office and deputy chief of the government staff, Igor Borovkov, presidential aide Larisa Brycheva, Rosatom chief Sergei Kirienko, and the head of the FSB’s economic security service, Yury Yakovlev.
