PETROPAVLOVSK-KAMCHATSKY - Three people were killed when a Robinson-44 helicopter crashed in Kamchatka, a spokesman for the Russian Emergency Situations Ministry's branch for the Kamchatka Territory told Interfax on Tuesday.

“At the moment, we know that three people have been killed. A search at the crash site continues,” he said.

The Emergency Situations Ministry was alerted about the crash of a privately owned Robinson-44 helicopter on Tuesday afternoon, local time. The helicopter crashed near the coast of Russkaya Bay, 80 kilometers from Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky. The crashed helicopter was not registered with air traffic control services.
