Yaroslavl, September 9 (Interfax) - The commission investigating the crash of the Yakovlev Yak-42 airplane near Yaroslavl on September 7 has ruled out a number of theories behind the air crash, Russian Deputy Transport Minister Valery Okulov told journalists on Friday.

"Several initial theories have been excluded during the work. In particular, that the plane had its stabilizer not in a takeoff position. When the tail fin was raised, it became clear that it is not the case," Okulov said.

The inquiry has also ruled out suggestions that the runway was not long enough, he added. "Checks have shown that the airplane had 2,850 meters for taking off," the deputy minister said.
