 A total of 155 Ukrainian athletes will participate in the 14th Summer Paralympic Games in London (Britain), Head of the State Service for Youth and Sports Ravil Safiullin has said.

“Only a few weeks separate us from the beginning of the 14th Summer
Paralympic Games, which will be held in the UK capital, London, from
August 29 to September 9. Within these 11 days, the 155 athletes in
Ukraine’s national Paralympic team will defend the honor of the
Ukrainian state in world sport,” he said at a press conference in Kyiv
on Tuesday.

According to the press service of the State Service for Youth and
Sports, Ukrainian athletes will participate in 12 sports: rowing,
sitting volleyball, judo, athletics, table tennis, powerlifting,
swimming, shooting, archery, wheelchair fencing, seven-a-side football,
and cycling (track, road).

The service noted that 4,200 athletes from 160 countries would
compete for 503 sets of medals in 20 sports at the London Paralympics.
