These are footballers who have more than five years of appearances in the Premier League or more than 20 appearances for the national team. It currently gives him the right to work as head coach in the First and Second Leagues and as assistant coach in the Premier League,” the FFU’s Licensing Center told Interfax-Ukraine on Wednesday, March 20.

In order to be able to work as head coach of a club or national team, Shevchenko has to get a PRO license, which he will be able to get after receiving an A diploma.

As reported, on November 12, 2012, FFU President Anatoliy Konkov decided to offer the post of Ukraine manager to Shevchenko. On November 19, Shevchenko turned down the offer.

Shevchenko ended his football career after Euro 2012 in Ukraine and Poland and stopped playing for the national team. In June 2012, his contract with Dynamo Kyiv, to which Shevchenko returned in August 2009 after his performance in Italy’s Milan and Chelsea London, expired.

After retiring from sport, Shevchenko became a member of Natalia Korolevska’s Ukraine-Forward! Party, with whom he participated in the parliamentary elections in 2012, but did not make it into parliament.
