SYDNEY - Alexandr Dolgopolov retired injured from the Kooyong exhibition tournament in Melbourne on Jan. 16 with a right knee injury, handing Spain's Fernando Verdasco the title and placing the Ukrainian player's Australian Open appearance in doubt.
