Eleven foreigners sought medical care over the whole period of the Euro 2012 European Football Championship in four host cities in Ukraine, Head of the State Sanitary and Epidemiological Service of Ukraine Anatoliy Ponomarenko has said.

“There were applications from 11 citizens over the period of the
Euros in the four host cities… All of them received assistance and
recovered. At the same time, the diagnoses were different and completely
unrelated to each other,” he said at a briefing on Wednesday.

Ponomarenko said that the service had no complaints about food institutions in the host cities.

“Our headquarters are operating in all host cities around the clock,
no matter whether Euro 2012 matches are held or not. Constant work is
being conducted as part of commissions set up in each of the host
cities, therefore, the situation is completely under control,” he said.
