England's striker Wayne Rooney will be in the starting eleven in a match against Ukraine - the last game of the Euro 2012 group stage in Donetsk on June 19.
“But I’ve made it clear Wayne Rooney will start the game… I’ve got no
fear that Rooney is ring rusty. He’s been training fully and I would
say he’s every bit as sharp as he was when he played his last game for
Manchester United,” Hodgson said during a pre-match conference in
Donetsk on Monday.
Rooney missed the first two matches of Euro 2012 due to
disqualification for kicking a player of Montenegro during a qualifier
for Euro 2012 in October 2011.
