Famous Ukrainian football player Andriy Shevchenko has said he has not yet decided on his future football career.

“I took a little time to decide and check my state of health, and in a week or two I will decide on my own fate and say what I will do next: whether I will continue playing football, in what country, and whether I will stay in or leave Ukraine,” he told reporters on Monday after the opening ceremony of the stadium in Kyiv’s school, in which he studied.

On Monday, along with Head of Kyiv City State Administration Oleksandr Popov, Shevchenko participated in the opening of the stadium at School No. 216 in the city’s Obolon district.

The new football pitch and the sports hall were prepared for the new academic year. The project was implemented in partnership with Nike and Shevchenko, who studied at this school.

After the Euro 2012 match between England and Ukraine, Shevchenko announced his retirement from international football.
