You're reading: Some 900 foreign journalists come to Kyiv to cover Euro 2012

Some 900 foreign journalists had registered at the media center in Kyiv to cover the Euro 2012 European Football Championship as of June 22, according to the Ukraine 2012 information center.

A total of 539 media representatives arrived in Kyiv from the CIS
countries, and 260 from Europe and countries outside the region. In
particular, journalists from the UK, Germany, Denmark, Poland, Italy,
Spain, France, the U.S., Sweden, and even from China, Israel, and
Vietnam came to Ukraine for Euro 2012.

Convenient conditions were created in the media center of Kyiv for
journalists, the center said. There are premises for press conferences
and briefings on the first floor of the building. The employees of the
media center almost every day invite interesting interlocutors and
guests that are directly linked with the preparations for and holding of
Euro 2012 in Kyiv.

Some 40 volunteers that speak foreign languages work at the media center and are always ready to help and provide information.

The media center works seven days per week from 1200 until the end of
the broadcasts of the matches, which is convenient for journalists, the
center said.
